Ronie a dynamic officer was recently posted as SP/City where crime rates were high. While inspecting a Police Station, he noticed that more than dozen cases were registered against Mr.XYLO (a hardcore criminal absconding since long). He was a headache for Police Department. So Ronie ordered his subordinates to register fake cases against the family members, friends and other relatives of Mr.XYLO so that pressure is mounted upon him to surrender. This strategy worked. As soon as 36 cases were registered, there was panic among the family members and friends of Mr.XYLO. Within few hours, Mr.XYLO surrendered in Court from where he was taken on remand by Police. Due to hue and cry by Media, Ronie is summoned to attend Police Headquarter at short notice. He appears before Director General of Police (his Dad).
Dad (very angry) : I am not satisfied with your working…… if you don’t improve, I will shift you.
Ronie : I had to do it……he was not surrendering.
Dad : But registering cases against Mr.XYLO’s family members and friends is illegal……..they were not involved in any crime.
Ronie : I know Dad, but they were supporting Mr.XYLO in his wrong-doing and were also beneficiaries of his illegal earnings………anyway, let the Court set them free if they are really innocent, I am no one to decide this now.
Dad : Idiot……..Media is chasing this case and I am being blamed to favour you……I order you to withdraw the cases against the family members of Mr.XYLO right now.
Ronie : I won’t.
Dad (shouts) : I will transfer you to Police Sports Academy and you will never have public dealing in your life in future.
Ronie : I had to do it……he was not surrendering.
Dad : But registering cases against Mr.XYLO’s family members and friends is illegal……..they were not involved in any crime.
Ronie : I know Dad, but they were supporting Mr.XYLO in his wrong-doing and were also beneficiaries of his illegal earnings………anyway, let the Court set them free if they are really innocent, I am no one to decide this now.

SO its kindda fair to me...fake cases if really fake are no big deal, can easily be dismissed by the higher courts so its not that a big issue..

ReplyDeleteCriminals have been making best use of loop-holes available in our system / laws and taking shelter. Ronie teaches us how to deal with such situation and his tricks worked.....Mr.XYLO finally surrendered.
The message is clear :-
In whatever profession we are, we should never give up but put up resistance so that wrong-doers don’t find their job easy.
