What is My Duty

It’s morning time, Ronie the 7 year old naughty son of Railway Minister is getting ready for school while his Dad is waiting for him at Breakfast.

Ronie : Morning Dad.

Dad : Morning……….had nice sleep ?

Ronie : No, I’m still sleepy.

Dad : Why ?

Ronie : Was watching TV news till late night…..tried to contact you but could not.

Dad : I was very much busy…….actually, trying to jump onto a moving train, a 36-year-old man Bhagwan Porwal fell into the gap between platform and train at Nizamuddin railway station. By the time we could extricate and take him to hospital, he collapsed. Our team of railway officials, RPF Jawans
, Delhi GRP personals and Fire Brigade officials tried all remedies, from detaching train steps to breaking away the platform copings, but all in vain we could not save him, it was an unfortunate incidence, I am personally hurt.

Ronie : I was watching whole episode on TV.

Dad : I see.

Ronie : But don’t you agree that we are taking about a World Class City where actually no one is trained at all; at stations, staff really don't know how to handle these kind of situations, if we can't save a man at the railway station then what can we expect to do in a moving train ?

Dad : You are right that staff available at station are not trained to tackle problem like this nor they are equipped with gadgets that would help in such circumstance but I ask you one thing; why people don’t come forward by themselves to Disaster Management Units (run by various Government Departments) in order to be useful during such eventualities. In this particular incidence, hundreds of people were gathered but only few extended their helping hands and rest were merely spectators, they did nothing but were simply criticizing us, were they not citizen of this country ?

SIMPLY DON’T GO BY WHAT YOU SEE AND ARRIVE AT CONCLUSION, ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO SUCH INCIDENCE AS AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THE NATION.

YOU ARE GETTING LATE, FINISH YOUR BREAKFAST AND BUZZ OFF TO YOUR SCHOOL.

(Ronie never gives up so easily…..let’s see how he come back…..keep reading)
